Hi, here's a little about me!

I'm originally from South Africa and moved to Canada in 2001. I currently live in White Rock and I have 9 year old son.

I completed my Early Childhood Education certificate at Langley College in 2010. 

I've just loved working in this field with children and their families. I'm passionate about the importance of providing high quality care to children and to help create a warm and welcoming environment where their curiosity is ignited. 

Photography has been an important part of my life for the past few years - I especially enjoy capturing little moments of connection between family members in my photos. 

I also love the outdoors and often take time to enjoy our beautiful forest. 

Hello! I have 20 years of experience in childcare and certifications in Early Childhood Education, Infant Toddler, and Special Needs, I am dedicated to providing loving care, especially for our youngest ones. In my free time, I enjoy camping and spending time outdoors, and I hope to inspire the children in my care to appreciate nature as much as I do. Together, we will create a warm and nurturing environment for all!

My name is Brooke, and I have been with Blossoms & Roots since 2022. I believe that every child possesses a unique gift, and as educators, it is our responsibility to nurture and support those gifts as they grow.

I am excited to share that in January 2025, I will be embarking on my Infant Toddler Manager’s practicum at Baby Acorns, furthering my professional development in this rewarding field.

I enjoy staying active through various forms of exercise, including going to the gym, practicing yoga, and dancing in a style called "hoop flow." I also love exploring new dining experiences with my husband; trying new foods together is one of our favorite pastimes! I’m looking forward to continuing my journey in early childhood education and making a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.

Hi! I'm Alannah. While most of the time you won't see me around the centres, you'll find me behind the computer screen replying to your emails or working on the administrative side of things. I love helping businesses grow and to be there to support however I can. 

When I am not sitting behind a computer working, I am a busy mom of 3! I love spending time with my kids and husband whether its having a family movie night or going for a walk or heading to the beach on a warm summer day! But honestly, most days you'll find me in a gymnastics gym, basketball gym or dance studio or in the car playing taxi!

I’ve been proud to be part of the Blossoms & Roots team since the start, growing alongside the children in our care. I completed my Early Childhood Education Program with 2014 with my Infant and Toddler Certification.


I have spent much of my life enjoying dance and cheerleading competitively. During that time, I also coached young children in dance, cheerleading and swimming. It gives me great pleasure when I see them succeed. I know that’s where my love for teaching children has come from.

My hobbies include: spending time with my family and friends, walking my two rescue fur babies, swimming, photography, working out and paddle boarding.

My name is Stephenie, and I am one of the teachers at Blossoms & Roots.

I have been a child educator for more than 5 years now, working with children from all age groups. I hold certifications in Early Childhood Education, Infant & Toddler, and Special Needs too.

I love working with children and helping them grow and develop. Each new step, each new word, each new discovery they make brings joy to my heart. I strive to provide your children with a safe, supportive, and interesting learning environment.

During my free time, I love to travel, watch movies, spend time with my family and friends, play with my two cats, and dine out with my husband. I also love to have yummy foods and lemon tea.

Hi, my name is Simone, and I’m originally from Austria, where I spent most of my life before moving to Vancouver in 2016. I earned my diploma as a Kindergarten Teacher and Early Childcare Educator in 2006 and have always loved working with young children.

My first teaching role in Vancouver was with the Westside German School, where I taught the kindergarten class. After taking some time off to be with my two young children, I’m excited to return to the classroom.

I’ve been part of Blossoms & Roots since day one—first creating the school’s corporate design, and later completing my Early Childhood Educator certification in BC so I could work directly with the children as well. I love building meaningful connections and exploring the world alongside your little ones.

Hello, I'm Veronica. I have been an early childhood educator for over 18 years, and working with children is truly my passion. I am calm, patient, and kind. It is important to connect with each child in a meaningful way.

One of my favorite activities with preschoolers is doing the calendar and watching show and tells. I love seeing the excitement and wonder in their eyes as they learn and share new things.

When I'm not at work, I am kept busy by my very active teenager. Family is incredibly important to me, and I cherish the time spent with my loved ones outside of the classroom.

I am dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. I look forward to the opportunity to inspire and encourage each child in my care.

I am originally from Korea. I have extensive experience in early childhood education, having worked at a center in Korea before moving here. I hold an Early Childhood Education Certificate, along with certifications in Infant Toddler and Special Needs Education. Caring for children is not just a job for me; it’s a passion. I truly believe that nurturing young minds is one of the most valuable contributions one can make to society. In addition to my love for working with children, I am an avid sports enthusiast, with a particular fondness for baseball. I am excited about the opportunity to create lasting connections with both the children and our team, and I hope to foster a supportive and enriching environment where everyone can grow together.

My name is Tina. I am a dedicated ECE infant toddler teacher with a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Education degree, and infant toddler certification. Teaching has been my passion since childhood, and I have amassed over 20 years of experience teaching students ranging from pre-K to grade 9. 

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy reading books, exploring Pinterest, and engaging in craft work during my free time. I find great joy in working with young children and am grateful for the opportunity to play a role in their development and growth.

Hi, I’m Kyra!

My name is Kyra Elmes and I am the mom of two wonderful grown – up children (Karina and Aydin) and the proud Nannie to my two precious granddaughters, Hallie and Olivia! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our first grandson :) 

I have been working with children and their families for over 30 years. I am a certified Early Childhood Educator and Infant and Toddler Educator. When I first began in the childcare profession I spent many years supporting infants & toddlers at UBC Childcare. As my own children grew older I opened my own Licensed Infant & Toddler daycare facility in South Surrey which served the families in this awesome community for over 15 years!

I am passionate about anything and everything children – supporting children and their families, creating environments that are welcoming and esthetically pleasing and inclusive, gardening with children, jumping in puddles, looking for bugs and long nature walks!

Fun facts about me – 

- My mom and my daughter are also both Early Childhood Educators! 
- On Saturdays I can be found working at our coffee shop! 

- I grew up in White Rock until I was 10 years old and found my way back to raise my own children in the community that I love so much!!

I’m Sara, and I recently moved back to the mainland from Vancouver Island to be closer to family. With 8 years of experience working with all ages, I hold a diploma in infant, toddler, and special needs care.

I particularly enjoy working with infants, as I find it fascinating to be part of their learning journey. I prioritize being present with them and providing a safe space for exploration and play in nature, which enhances their understanding of themselves and their communities.

In my spare time, I love spending time with family, watching movies, and exploring new trails. I look forward to meeting everyone and being part of your little ones' journey!

I was a competitive gymnast growing up and have continued to show my love for the sport by being a recreational and competitive coach for the past 3 years. I strive to coach active start which is ages 3-5 which has helped my experience for ECE. 

I joined the ECE program because of my love for working with children and being able to have an impact on their most important years. I enjoy helping children learn through exploring the world around them and seeing their brains take in all that life offers. I love being able to explore with the children by following their interests and driving their curiosity in the right direction. There is nothing better than being able to celebrate all of the big and small milestones that come along each day. 

Hi, my name is Raj. I’m a mom to 2 boys and live in South Surrey. I completed my ECE certification at Pacific Rim College.

I love working with children because there is always something new to learn and explore! I’m excited to be a part of a team that values the importance of play, connection, and nature for young children. 

When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my boys and my family, reading and exploring nature.

Hello, I'm Linda. I have a deep passion for working with children and one of my favorite activities to do with them is crafting. I love to see their creativity shine through as they express themselves through art and crafts.

Outside of my work with children, you can often find me in the garden with my husband. I am an avid gardener and find great joy in nurturing plants and watching them flourish.

When I'm not gardening or working, I am busy spending time with my daughter and my precious grandchildren. Family is everything to me, and I treasure every moment spent with them creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Hi! My name is Ally

Whilst living abroad on Working Holiday Visas, I had the opportunity to work in a preschool in Australia for a year and become an Aupair just outside of London, England for 9 months. These experiences reinforced my decision to pursue a career in Early Childhood Education upon returning home from my travels. 

I completed my certification through College of the Rockies & hold myself to a high standard in the level of care I provide to the children in my care. I am creative, patient & kind & look forward to creating a positive environment for your child to learn & grow!
